Shire of Marcaster – the 1st minutes of the new shire!!

I. Seneschal Report
a. Read minutes from May 25th
i. Unanimously passed to accept
b. TMT went great!
i. All receipts need to be in ASAP
c. Meetings
i. June 22 – Seminole Library
ii. July – will work on using Seminole Library, watch list for information
iii. As of August we will be meeting at the New Largo Library
1. Volunteers needed for their grand opening dinner on July 30th (not
a demo) If anyone is willing to volunteer please contact Columella
d. Events
i. Res Musica

2. Next year we are talking about Res Domestica with perhaps Res Miltarum
ii. MidSummer's Nights Dream
1. is now on the kingdom calendar

ii. Will decide in future, anyone in interested in being/learning to

i. Have been contacted by a group looking for extras for a movie
ii. Looking for people dressed in 14th – 15th century garb – monks in particular

II. Officer Reports
a. Please remember all reports must be copied to Seneschal

i. Don Ian is to review the last two years of Storm and Narval financial records
1. standard procedure
ii. Balance of Storm account $1,615.59
iii. Balance of Narval account $1,067.96
1. just received check for a past Gulf Wars for $110.35
2. $7.39 just returned from TMT feast (left from advance)
iv. Looks like final close outs will not happen until July
v. Receivables from Kingdom
1. They owe us (because we advanced it)
a. $905.39 for Sun Feast (to Storm Acct.)
b. $200 for autocrat expenses (to Storm Acct.)
c. $1.192.61 for Sat Feast (to Narval Acct.)
vi. Paperwork has been filed to change the Bank of America (old Storm
acct.) to Marcaster. The Account number and Tax I.D. stay the same.
We may use the Marcaster checks effectively immediately.
vii. Current Signatories

viii. Have new checks, new deposit stamp, total cost of $38.21
ix. Requirements for the account
1. $10 monthly fee waived with $2,000 minimum balance
2. limit of 50 free combined debits, credits and items deposits with a
charge of .30 per item over 50.
3. These terms were grandfathered from Barnett Bank
x. Current Bank of American charges are higher
xi. There are better deals with other banks, however due to prior
difficulties with signature cards it was deemed prudent to stay with
this bank at the moment
1. recommended to allow 6 months to a year and then re-evaluate
whether we wish to change banks
